Sarah Palin, The "Evita" Effect?

Is Sarah Palin the New Evita Peron?
"Ambitious, Beautiful, Ruthless,

She Began in Obscurity and Rose to the Heights."

Saga Of Eva Peron: 12 Years To Power, Obituary

According to Naomi Wolf in an article posted on Huffington Post, The Battle Plan II: Sarah "Evita" Palin, the Muse of the Coming Police State, Sarah Palin is the new Evita Peron. Says Wolf, "Please understand what you are looking at when you look at Sarah "Evita" Palin. You are looking at the designated muse of the coming American police state."

Naomi Wolf continues to describe similarities between societies as they close down suggesting Governor Palin, not John McCain, as the heir to Rove/Cheney tactics. Says Wolf, "I believe the Rove-Cheney cabal is using Sarah Palin as a stalking horse, an Evita figure, to put a popular, populist face on the coming police state and be the talk show hostess for the end of elections as we know them." Wolf goes on to describe the heavy-handed police tactics including "pre-arrests" of members of the alternative press during the republican convention and the use of "agent provocateurs" in legitimizing a crackdown on protests.

Wolf describes ways in which modern technology gives more power to the police state than even the worst examples from history. "Make no mistake: Sarah "Evita" Palin is Rove and Cheney's cosmetic rebranding of their fascist push: she will help to establish a true and irreversible "fear society" in this once free once proud nation. For God's sake, do not let her; do not let them."
