Eva Cassidy's Autumn Leaves, is melancholy but lovely. It does not exactly reflect the feeling of welcome relief I feel when the hot weather and tourists dissipate and crisp days of fresh fruit and bright leaves arrive. Yet I welcome her poignant song of remembering love and loss as another year swirls past me like leaf on the air.
